What you will do:
- Deliver comprehensive social work services tailored to various settings, grounded in relevant legislation and procedures, and maintain a supportive presence in the community.
- Form and nurture professional relationships with children, young people, and their families by engaging in direct casework, supervision, shared activities, and counselling.
- Actively identify and assess risks such as abuse, failure to protect, or harm to children, ensuring effective communication with senior managers as needed.
- Contribute to the development of good practice within the team, taking a lead in special areas of responsibility.
- Advocate for diversity, challenge discrimination, and encourage informed decision-making by service users and carers.
- Maximize available resources for service users and carers, ensuring the delivery of value for money care packages.
- Handle child protection cases effectively, while also representing the team in meetings and conferences regarding service users.
- Lead planning meetings and evaluate care plans, ensuring that you've gathered and interpreted necessary information to provide top-notch support.
- Communicate clearly in various settings and, when necessary, present evidence in court.
