Founded in 1988, the facility employs around 400 people and produces high-performance blown plastic for a wide range of film products, including pallet wrap, plastic bags and protective films. With global operations across more than 23 countries, the business offers long-term stability, development and genuine career progression. The Role As an Inbound Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in keeping production running efficiently by ensuring materials, pallets and stock are handled safely, accurately and in line with operational standards.Key Duties Offloading inbound deliveries and checking all quantities and quality against delivery notes. Reporting contamination, damages or unsafe loads to the Inventory Controller. Maintaining excellent housekeeping and hygiene across all internal and external areas. Safe and tidy storage of polymers and correct pallet distribution. Supporting stock rotation and assisting the Inventory Controller as needed. Loading/unloading machine parts for the Maintenance department. Picking stock, assembling loads and preparing materials in designated loading areas. Providing cover for Material Handlers and Core Cutters, including: Stretch-wrapping products to a high standard. Completing putaways and issuing stock using scanner equipment. Supplying raw materials, packaging and finished goods to machines. Cutting cores to required specifications. Sorting empty pallets into good, substandard and returnable categories. Safely loading returnable pallets and communicating quantities. Emptying internal waste bins into external skips following EMS procedures. Ensuring all products are stored correctly, free from contamination, and removed from walkways or hashed areas where required. What We’re Looking For Strong Health & Safety awareness. Experience in a busy manufacturing or logistics environment (preferred). FLT licence – refresher training available if your licence is within 12 months of expiry.
