This Hire Desk Controller role sits at the centre of the depot operation and plays a key part in delivering excellent customer service.Typical responsibilities include: Managing inbound hire enquiries and converting them into bookings Scheduling equipment deliveries and collections Liaising with drivers, engineers, and yard teams Processing hire contracts, extensions, and off-hires Building relationships with new and existing customers Ensuring equipment availability and accurate system records Supporting depot operations and maintaining service standards This Hire Desk Controller role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. Work within a Common Data Environment (CDE).Support construction sequencing, 4D simulation, and clash detection activities (desirable).Ensure all draughting activities are completed within project budget and programme constraints.Maintain technical integrity and compliance with relevant standards, codes, and procedures.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to define and manage design interfaces.Liaise with internal teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.Maintain awareness of current industry codes and standards and apply them to design work.
