This Hire Desk Controller role sits at the centre of the depot operation and plays a key part in delivering excellent customer service.Typical responsibilities include: Managing inbound hire enquiries and converting them into bookings Scheduling equipment deliveries and collections Liaising with drivers, engineers, and yard teams Processing hire contracts, extensions, and off-hires Building relationships with new and existing customers Ensuring equipment availability and accurate system records Supporting depot operations and maintaining service standards This Hire Desk Controller role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. The role will involve creating and developing 3D models, technical drawings, and design sketches across all project stages from Concept through to Detailed Design.Working as part of a multi-discipline engineering team, you will ensure design outputs are delivered to high technical standards, within budget, and in accordance with project schedules and applicable codes and standards.Job Role Responsibilities: Prepare civil and structural design solutions across Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design stages.Produce 2D and 3D design deliverables for civil, structural, temporary works, and permanent works.Develop models and drawings using: Aveva E3D for BIM modelling and drawing extraction.Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD for civil design elements. Work within a Common Data Environment (CDE).Support construction sequencing, 4D simulation, and clash detection activities (desirable).Ensure all draughting activities are completed within project budget and programme constraints.Maintain technical integrity and compliance with relevant standards, codes, and procedures.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to define and manage design interfaces.Liaise with internal teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.Maintain awareness of current industry codes and standards and apply them to design work.
