Role: Ganger Location: Birmingham Salary: £20.67 per hour PAYE Hours: Monday - Friday - 7.30am - 5.30pm Contract: Contract Of Employment Experience: 2 years + Qualifications: Blue CSCS NVQ LVL 2 Skilled Card, SSSTS, Fire Marshall, EUSR, First aid Please apply via link provided or directly at jade.harrison@vgcgroup.co.uk or 07485 909 644 Ganger experience Your role as a Ganger will be based in Birmingham and will consist of: - Lead and supervise a team of construction workers. - Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and experience. - Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality. - Inspect completed work to verify compliance with project specifications and standards. - Address any issues or deficiencies promptly to maintain quality. - Monitor the progress of work and ensure tasks are completed on schedule. - Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols. - Perform risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate hazards. - Maintain accurate records of work activities, progress, and any incidents. - Complete and submit necessary reports and documentation as required. - Ensure that all workers use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). - Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). - Report any incidents, near-misses, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Based in Birmingham remuneration for this role is £20.67 per hour PAYE, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
