What You Will Do:
- Carry out Core Assessments, pre-birth assessments, and risk assessments
- Lead Section 47 Child Protection investigations
- Prepare statements and complete Section 7 and 37 court reports
- Represent the local authority in court proceedings
- Conduct home visits to ensure safeguarding and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
- Chair core group meetings and coordinate multi-agency input
- Work closely with professionals including police for joint investigations
- Initiate and manage care proceedings from start to completion
- Implement and review Care Plans effectively
- Supervise contact sessions and contribute to case conferences
- Develop and complete Child in Need plans
