What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring timely progression of cases and maintaining excellent organisational practices.
- Coordinate the assessment, drafting, and annual review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring they meet high-quality, legally compliant standards.
- Gather, analyse, and synthesise professional reports to inform comprehensive care plans that cater to individual needs.
- Liaise effectively with schools, parents/carers, health services, and social care to ensure the provision meets statutory requirements and is fit for purpose.
- Act as a reassuring point of contact for families, providing clear guidance and handling any queries or concerns with empathy and patience.
- Prepare documentation for SEND tribunals and support the local authority’s case, bringing your expertise to the fore when needed.
- Maintain precise records, track deadlines meticulously, and keep case management systems up-to-date for seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery of high standards of casework and decision-making across the board.
