What you will do:
- Provide services in line with statutory requirements and departmental priorities.
- Engage in training and supervision activities for your professional development and career progression.
- Participate actively in team meetings and the emergency duty rota as per your specific role.
- Utilise written recording methods or new technology as appropriate.
- Respond to public inquiries and liaise with external agencies such as the police and health authorities.
- Plan individual client cases, ensuring adherence to professional standards and departmental priorities.
- Implement the Council’s equal opportunities policy in your professional practice and service delivery.
- Make professional decisions within the Department’s priorities framework, consulting management as required.
- Undertake service development tasks and familiarise yourself with all departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Significant frontline experience in Social Services within the UK as a qualified Social Worker
