About Transforming Support

At Transforming Support, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a quality life, make their own choices and work towards goals that genuinely matter to them.

Our Chichester supported living service provides person centred support to adults with learning disabilities and a range of complex needs. We focus on what each person can achieve, helping them develop independence and enjoy greater confidence, choice and control.

The role

This is an opportunity to move your leadership career forward while helping develop the culture, standards and working practices of the supported living service.

As Team Leader, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to guide the staff team, support the day to day operation of the service and maintain safe, effective and person centred support.

You will be a visible and approachable leader, giving colleagues the guidance they need, setting clear expectations and helping build a positive team culture from the beginning.

This is a hands on leadership position. Alongside your management responsibilities, you will remain involved in providing direct support and lead by example when the team needs you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing day to day leadership, guidance and support to the staff team
  • Promoting person centred support that increases independence, dignity, choice and control
  • Planning rotas and helping maintain safe and consistent staffing levels
  • Supporting staff recruitment, induction, supervision, coaching and development
  • Maintaining accurate support plans, risk assessments, records, audits and quality checks
  • Overseeing safeguarding, medication, health and safety and risk management practices
  • Supporting assessments, transitions and the continued development of the service

What you’ll need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least six months’ experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or complex needs
  • Has previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or in a similar supervisory role
  • Understands person centred support, safeguarding and regulated care services
  • Has knowledge of health and safety, risk management and CQC standards
  • Is confident supervising, coaching and developing colleagues
  • Communicates clearly and can make calm, well considered decisions
  • Can work flexibly across a varied rota

A relevant health and social care qualification would be advantageous.

You must already have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

What you’ll get

  • £15.16 per hour, equivalent to £29,562 per annum
  • Discretionary £1,000 annual bonus
  • 28 days’ annual leave including bank holidays
  • Fully funded enhanced DBS check
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Support from the Registered Manager and wider management team
  • The opportunity to strengthen your leadership and management experience
  • A genuine role in shaping the culture and standards of the service
