What you will do

• Manage a caseload of service users with drug and alcohol support needs, delivering structured key working and recovery-focused interventions.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and recovery planning using recognised psychosocial intervention approaches.
• Deliver harm reduction interventions, including overdose prevention education, naloxone awareness, BBV screening referrals, and safer substance use advice.
• Facilitate one-to-one and group-based recovery programmes that support engagement, relapse prevention, and personal development.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care, Substance Misuse, Counselling, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline.
• Relevant training in substance misuse interventions, safeguarding, and risk assessment.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.

Registration and Compliance:

• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation and local safeguarding procedures.
• Understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Equality Act 2010, and relevant data protection requirements.
• Commitment to working within organisational policies, clinical governance standards, and confidentiality frameworks.
