What you will do:
- Develop and implement bespoke occupational therapy programmes tailored for SEND students, working closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and carers.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver targeted interventions to improve student independence and participation in meaningful activities.
- Provide expert advice and training to staff and multidisciplinary teams on occupational therapy approaches relating to autism and complex behaviours.
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants and therapists in training, supporting their professional development.
- Oversee equipment procurement and manage budgets effectively while ensuring best practice.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and prepare comprehensive reports to continuously improve service delivery.
- Integrate Ayres Sensory Integration® techniques, where qualified, to deliver highly specialised sensory assessments and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards, maintaining high ethical and professional practice.
