This role, based across Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley, and Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, offers a competitive rate of £33.50 per hour for day shifts, Monday to Friday. An immediate start awaits, and this role requires a full UK driving licence with access to a car due to travel across sites and for domiciliary visits. What you will do:

  • Lead the management and ongoing care of patients with MND
  • Conduct advanced assessments and plan and review treatments
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary team working across neurology, respiratory, speech and language therapy, nutrition, and palliative care
  • Provide home visits, hospital reviews, and run virtual and face-to-face clinics
  • Support advanced care planning, investigations, and clinical decision-making
  • Attend monthly MND multidisciplinary team meetings at the local hospice
  • Support service development, research, audit, and implement best practice guidance

Essential Requirements:

  • Advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Experience caring for patients with neurological disorders, respiratory failure, nutritional or swallowing issues, and progressive neurological conditions
  • Evidence of managing neurological patients in community and hospital settings
  • Full driving licence and access to a car

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree (completed or in progress)
  • Respiratory care, including non-invasive ventilation management
  • Experience running outpatient department clinics
  • Recent experience supporting patients with MND
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Palliative care experience
