What you will do:

- Collaborate with multi-agency teams to ensure seamless support for service users.
- Advocate for clients, liaising with various organisations and agencies to coordinate effective support plans.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to raise awareness about the needs of the Deaf and Deafblind communities.
- Deliver expert consultation and advice to individuals, their families, and carers regarding available resources and support systems.
- Safeguard the welfare of service users by adhering to established guidelines and best practices in the sector.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in assessment procedures and innovative care packages for Deaf/Deafblind adults with an understanding of their unique needs.
- In-depth understanding of relevant legislation affecting Deaf and Deafblind individuals, such as mental health and equality-related laws.
- Well-versed in key policies and resources that support this client group, alongside safeguarding issues.
- Proven ability to work with personal budgets and navigate welfare systems.
- British Sign Language Level 3 and Deafblind Level 3 mandatory qualifications are required to enhance communication and support service users effectively.

Experience:
- Demonstrable experience working on the front lines with Deaf and Deafblind adults, managing a wide array of social care needs.
- Experience in a multi-agency environment to foster productive partnerships and collaborative care arrangements.
- Engaging in interviews with service users and carers to assess and meet their individual needs.

Education, Qualifications, and Training:
- British Sign Language Level 3 (essential).
- Deafblind Level 3 (essential).
- Relevant qualification such as DipSW is desirable but not mandatory.
