What You Will Do

  • Deliver Systemic Social Work Practice: Implement positive change in complex cases using systemic methods, tools, and evidence-based approaches.

  • Lead Professional Judgement: Provide oversight on risk, need, and care planning while ensuring all decisions align with statutory and policy frameworks.

  • Comprehensive Assessments: Complete detailed assessments of children’s needs, strengths, risks, and cultural considerations, developing SMART plans for effective support.

  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with partner agencies—including education, health, immigration, and voluntary services—to ensure holistic care and protection.

  • Safeguarding Leadership: Lead on safeguarding enquiries, ensuring children’s safety is prioritised and interventions are timely and proportionate.

  • Case Management: Manage a varied caseload involving complex trauma, asylum processes, cultural needs, and multi-agency coordination.

  • Advocacy & Support: Champion the voices of young people, ensuring their wishes and feelings shape their care and support plans.
