What you will do:
- Manage and process a wide range of planning applications, including those that are major and controversial
- Provide expert planning advice to applicants, developers, architects, and other stakeholders on planning policy, proposals, and pre-application matters
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for delegated decisions and Planning Sub-Committee
- Represent the Council in planning appeals, including at hearings and inquiries
- Investigate and address alleged breaches of planning control
- Support the Team Leader by helping supervise Planning Officers, reviewing reports, managing workloads, and monitoring performance
- Deliver high standards of customer care and service
- For Principal Officers: sign delegated decisions on householder and related applications
