What you will do:
- Drive the progression of discharge of care orders and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) conversions.
- Collaborate with case-holding social workers, legal teams, and partner agencies to remove obstacles and expedite permanence planning.
- Offer expert advice, guidance, and practical support to families and carers throughout the process.
- Contribute to detailed assessments, court documentation, and decision-making panels as required.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records to uphold compliance and achieve quality outcomes.
We are looking for:
- A qualified Social Worker with current registration and experience in permanence planning.
- A robust understanding of care proceedings, SGO processes, and discharge of care orders.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across services.
- A commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people through timely and effective interventions.
