What you will do:

Provide strong leadership, management, and direction to a multidisciplinary team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Family Support professionals.

Promote and embed restorative and relationship-based practice across all areas of service delivery.

Manage workloads effectively, ensuring statutory duties and service standards are consistently met.

Oversee the delivery of high-quality statutory social work services for children, young people, and families.

Authorise key safeguarding decisions and provide oversight of child protection and complex casework.

Support staff through supervision, coaching, performance management, and professional development.

Work collaboratively with education, health, police, voluntary organisations, and other key partners to improve outcomes for children.

Lead quality assurance activities, including audits, performance monitoring, and service improvement initiatives.

Ensure practice remains child-focused, strengths-based, and compliant with relevant legislation and guidance.

Contribute to strategic planning, workforce development, and the ongoing evolution of Families First for Children services.
