What you will do:

• Provide strong leadership, management, and direction to a multidisciplinary team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Family Support professionals.

• Promote and embed restorative and relationship-based practice across all areas of service delivery.

• Manage workloads effectively, ensuring statutory duties and service standards are consistently met.

• Oversee the delivery of high-quality statutory social work services for children, young people, and families.

• Authorise key safeguarding decisions and provide oversight of child protection and complex casework.

• Support staff through supervision, coaching, performance management, and professional development.

• Work collaboratively with education, health, police, voluntary organisations, and other key partners to improve outcomes for children.

• Lead quality assurance activities, including audits, performance monitoring, and service improvement initiatives.

• Ensure practice remains child-focused, strengths-based, and compliant with relevant legislation and guidance.

• Contribute to strategic planning, workforce development, and the ongoing evolution of Families First for Children services.
