What you will do:

  • Case Management: Manage a complex caseload of children and families, ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures, legislation, and statutory requirements.

  • Assessment and Planning: Undertake assessments of children's needs and develop, implement, and review effective care plans.

  • Safeguarding Interventions: Assess risk, identify protective factors, and deliver interventions that promote children's safety and wellbeing.

  • Direct Work: Engage directly with children and families to ensure their views, wishes, and experiences remain central to all decision-making processes.

  • Child Protection: Develop and implement robust safeguarding plans and actively participate in Child Protection Conferences, Core Group Meetings, and statutory reviews.

  • Court Work: Prepare high-quality court reports and documentation while working closely with legal services throughout Public Law Outline processes.

  • Looked After Children: Support children in care and promote positive outcomes relating to education, health, emotional wellbeing, and permanence.

  • Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate effectively with professionals from Education, Health, Police, and other partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive electronic case records in accordance with professional standards and statutory guidance.

  • Service Improvement: Contribute to quality assurance activities and service improvement initiatives designed to enhance outcomes for children and families.
