What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for potential foster carers, ensuring they meet the required standards to provide safe and nurturing environments for children and young people.
- Support foster carers through regular visits and communication, offering advice and guidance to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, which includes therapists, educators, and healthcare providers, to develop and implement care plans for children in foster care.
- Participate in regular team meetings and supervision sessions to share insights and develop strategies for complex situations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records and reports to reflect assessments, observations, and progress of both children and foster carers.
Requirements for the Social Worker role include a degree or equivalent in social work, valid Social Work England registration, and significant frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
