What you will do:
- Effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with the appropriate supervision and support.
- Undertake Short Break Assessments and Carers assessments while ensuring Care Plans and Reviews are consistently updated.
- Craft and present written statements and representations for court hearings, including SEND Tribunals, ensuring all work aligns with legislative frameworks.
- Make complex decisions using professional judgement, evidence-based tools, and critical reflection to inform your actions.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of social work intervention theories and methods to support individuals, families, and communities.
- Assess risk and need in often complex situations, delivering protective and supportive services to children at risk, in need, or looked after.
- Confidently communicate in complex or high-risk situations and support others in developing these skills.
- Represent the department at multi-disciplinary meetings and potentially fill the role of Chair when required.
- Undertake direct work with children, young people, and their families while fostering cooperation across multi-agency boundaries.
- Model inclusive practice and challenge issues of diversity and identity professionally.
- Regularly participate in professional supervision and development, preparing for reviews and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports and records, complying with data protection and confidentiality laws.
