What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of children and families requiring statutory intervention, delivering timely and effective safeguarding support.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments of need, risk, and protective factors following statutory guidance and local procedures.
• Develop, implement and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and care planning interventions to enhance outcomes for children.
• Complete direct work with children and families, ensuring the child's voice is central to all decision-making.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree or Postgraduate Qualification in Social Work.
• Successful completion of ASYE, where applicable.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.

Registration and Compliance:

• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).

Experience:

• Previous experience within a Children's Safeguarding, Child Protection or Assessment Team within a UK Local Authority.
• Experience managing Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
