What you will do:
- Manage a caseload of children and families requiring statutory intervention, delivering timely and effective safeguarding support.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of need, risk, and protective factors following statutory guidance and local procedures.
- Develop, implement and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and care planning interventions to enhance outcomes for children.
- Complete direct work with children and families, ensuring the child's voice is central to all decision-making.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Degree or Postgraduate Qualification in Social Work.
- Successful completion of ASYE, where applicable.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Registration and Compliance:
- Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
Experience:
- Previous experience within a Children's Safeguarding, Child Protection or Assessment Team within a UK Local Authority.
- Experience managing Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
