What you will do:

• Assessments: Undertake statutory assessments in line with the Children Act 1989 and local authority procedures.

• Child and Family Assessments: Complete comprehensive assessments to identify risks, strengths, needs, and protective factors affecting children and families.

• Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review child-centred plans that promote safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

• Interventions: Deliver evidence-based interventions designed to reduce risk, strengthen family functioning, and improve outcomes for children.

• Direct Work with Children: Engage directly with children and young people to understand and record their wishes, feelings, and lived experiences.

• Safeguarding: Identify and respond to concerns involving children at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, ensuring appropriate safeguarding measures are implemented.

• Case Management: Manage a varied statutory caseload, prioritising work effectively according to risk levels, complexity, and statutory timescales.

• Court and Conference Work: Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings, child protection conferences, and other statutory meetings.

• Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate closely with health professionals, schools, police, and other partner agencies to deliver coordinated support and intervention.

• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive records in accordance with legislation, policy, and professional standards.
