We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker specialising in the Adults Safeguarding Team within Adults Social Care in Truro, UK. What you will do:

Undertake safeguarding enquiries in accordance with Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, ensuring timely and proportionate responses to risk.
Complete strength-based assessments, care planning, and reviews for adults with care and support needs.
Work closely with multi-agency partners including NHS services, police, and care providers to coordinate safeguarding interventions.
Apply the Mental Capacity Act 2005, including Best Interest decisions and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards where appropriate.

Person Specification:

Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
Relevant post-qualifying training in Adult Social Care or Safeguarding is desirable
Registered with Social Work England
Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Equality Act 2010
Understanding of local safeguarding adults procedures and multi-agency frameworks
