What you will do:

  • Provide effective operational leadership, ensuring a stable, responsive, and high-quality service for children and families.
  • Manage risk responsibly by adhering to statutory regulations, overseeing escalation processes, and working in unison with partner services.
  • Lead with enthusiasm through recruitment, induction, supervision, and performance management, fostering a motivated and high-performing workforce.
  • Promote a culture of reflection and learning, incorporating supervision, team meetings, and feedback processes incorporating a trauma-informed approach to complaints.
  • Monitor service performance and quality with keen attention to data analysis and quality assurance activity, using insights and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and strengthen partnerships with internal and external agencies to enhance outcomes for children and young people.
  • Contribute to strategic development, manage resources effectively, and align with financial guidelines to ensure compliance with statutory and inspection frameworks.
  • Take charge of workforce and practice development, collaborating closely with the Principal Social Worker and the Practice, Workforce and Partnerships Hub.
  • Operate on a hybrid basis, adapting to flexible hours and travel requirements, including participation in emergency rotas and additional duties as necessary.
