What you will do:

  • Lead and manage the Children and Young People in Care Team, providing effective leadership, supervision, and strategic direction.
  • Ensure high standards of social work practice, safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
  • Oversee complex case management, ensuring statutory responsibilities and service standards are met.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver effective care planning and interventions.
  • Monitor team performance and service delivery, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manage team resources and budgets effectively to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Support, mentor, and develop social workers, promoting a positive, high-performing team culture.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualification experience within children's social care, including management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and statutory guidance.
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, and performance management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and partnership-working abilities.
