What you will do:

  • Carry out specialist mental health assessments, care planning, and evidence-based interventions for children and young people with ADHD and other mental health conditions.
  • Support the CAMHS ADHD pathway, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Help reduce waiting times by facilitating timely access to ADHD medication and ongoing treatment following diagnosis.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, supervision, and training to support service development and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise effectively with families, schools, GPs, and partner agencies to provide coordinated, person-centred care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or other recognised Allied Health Professional with current professional registration (NMC, HCPC, or Social Work England as appropriate).
  • Significant experience working within CAMHS.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with ADHD and other mental health conditions.
  • Excellent assessment, risk management, communication, and multidisciplinary working skills.
  • Knowledge of current CAMHS legislation, safeguarding procedures, and evidence-based practice.
