What you will do:

  • Complete comprehensive fostering and kinship assessments, providing evidence-based recommendations.
  • Monitor and support foster and kinship placements to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes of children and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, health professionals, and families to develop and implement effective care and support plans.
  • Provide guidance, advice, and ongoing support to foster carers and kinship carers, helping them meet children's individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely case records in accordance with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Participate in meetings, reviews, and multi-agency discussions to support effective care planning and safeguarding.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualification experience within fostering, kinship, or children's social care services.
  • Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding legislation, and statutory guidance.
  • Excellent assessment, report writing, and risk management skills.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and partnership-working abilities.
