What you will do:

• Manage a diverse and dynamic caseload of children and young people with disabilities aged 0 to 25, including complex cases.

• Conduct and supervise detailed assessments, develop comprehensive care plans, and carry out regular reviews.

• Lead on safeguarding initiatives, handling Child in Need and Child Protection cases where applicable.

• Provide expert guidance, mentorship, and support to social workers and practitioners.

• Facilitate smooth transition planning from children's services to adult services.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.

• Registered with Social Work England.

• Enhanced DBS clearance.

• Right to Work in the UK.

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of children with disabilities legislation and SEND frameworks.

• Advanced safeguarding and risk assessment skills.

• Ability to manage complex cases with a leadership approach.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.

• Strong organisational and multi-agency working abilities.

Experience:

• Significant post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care.

• Experience working with children and young people with disabilities.

• Proven safeguarding, care planning, and transition work experience.

• Experience supporting or mentoring staff.
