What you will do:

• Deliver specialist podiatry assessment and treatment for high-risk patients.

• Manage complex conditions such as diabetic foot, ulcers, infections, and wound care.

• Develop and implement individualised treatment and care plans.

• Provide expert advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team working, including diabetes and vascular services.

• Lead on clinical decision-making and risk management.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Podiatry.

Registration & Training:

• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

• Evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

• Postgraduate training in high-risk or diabetic foot care is desirable.

Key Skills:

• Advanced clinical skills in high-risk podiatry and wound management.

• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.

• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

• Leadership and supervisory skills.

• Good IT and clinical documentation skills.

Experience:

• Significant experience as a Podiatrist, including high-risk caseloads.

• Experience managing diabetic foot and complex wound care.

• Experience within an NHS or specialist podiatry service.

• Experience supervising or mentoring staff is desirable.
