Site Engineer in Middlesex, London

Outside IR35

Our Client has a requirement for a Site Agent / Site Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis at Heathrow. Night Shift or Day Shift available

Role Purpose:

To manage the day-to-day delivery and technical execution of Q6 cladding works within the Main CTA Tunnel, ensuring works are safely delivered within critical possession windows while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and operational standards.

Job Role Responsibilities:

• Oversee all on-site engineering activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and Heathrow standards
• Manage subcontractors and site engineers, driving performance across safety, quality, and programme
• Lead either day or night shift operations, ensuring effective delivery within 4–5 hour tunnel closure windows
• Coordinate shift handovers to ensure seamless transition between day and night teams
• Prepare and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements
• Lead short-term planning and monitor progress against programme
• Identify risks and report progress to the Project Manager
• Liaise with client, design teams, and stakeholders to resolve technical queries and support integrated delivery

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

• Strong background in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure projects (tunnels, highways, or rail)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and solve technical challenges on site
• Experience working in live operational environments
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Desirable:

• Previous experience in aviation or airside environments
• Valid CSCS card
• SMSTS or equivalent health & safety qualification
• Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and change management
