What you will do:

• Manage a complex caseload of children, young people, and families within the locality service.

• Undertake assessments, care planning, reviews, and safeguarding investigations in line with statutory requirements.

• Lead Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (LAC) cases.

• Complete statutory visits, court reports, risk assessments, and other key documentation.

• Develop and implement outcome-focused care and support plans that promote positive change and long-term stability.

• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including education, health services, police, and voluntary organisations.

• Chair and contribute to professional meetings, reviews, conferences, and planning forums.

• Provide mentoring, guidance, and support to newly qualified and less experienced social workers.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case recordings in line with legislation, policies, and professional standards.

• Promote the safety, welfare, wellbeing, and best interests of children and families at all times.
