What you will do:
- Undertake statutory assessments in line with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.
- Manage a complex caseload involving Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline, and pre-proceedings work.
- Complete timely risk assessments, safety planning, and decision-making to protect vulnerable children and young people.
- Lead and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and multi-agency meetings.
Qualifications needed:
- Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Practice Educator qualification or willingness to work towards this is desirable.
Registration and Compliance:
- Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
Experience required:
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience within statutory Children's Social Care.
- Significant experience within Duty & Assessment, Front Door, MASH, or Safeguarding services.
- Experience managing complex child protection investigations and completing statutory assessments.
