What you will do:
- Carry out assessments and service user reviews to a high standard, ensuring they reflect the needs and aspirations of service users and carers
- Present cases to the Vulnerable Adults panel for funding approval, leading and chairing complex case reviews and safeguarding adults case conferences
- Provide regular professional supervision to social work staff, ensuring adherence to the department's supervision policy and support their continuous professional development
- Monitor and appraise staff performance, directing them to appropriate training opportunities and reporting any concerns regarding performance or conduct
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of electronic case records to ensure practice standards are maintained, taking remedial action as needed
- Respond promptly to service complaints and work closely with the operational manager to resolve issues effectively
- Promote and facilitate joint working and multidisciplinary collaboration with colleagues in other departments and health services
- Foster a positive team environment by attending meetings and contributing to team spirit
