What you will do:
- Execute all business management responsibilities aligned with the needs of school leaders, parents/carers, and students.
- Oversee and support the office team within the school meals central unit, ensuring robust systems and processes.
- Provide essential support to Account Managers, facilitating delivery of a high-quality and budget-effective School Meals Service.
- Cultivate strong relationships with school leaders to maintain and elevate service standards, addressing operational issues proactively.
- Work with the School Meals Strategic Manager to explore innovative opportunities, ensuring business sustainability.
- Manage the procurement of necessary goods and equipment, adhering to Council policies.
- Collaborate with Area Account Managers to uphold compliance with health and safety and food standards.
- Ensure seamless business continuity by resolving challenges and escalating unresolved issues to the Strategic School Meals Manager.
- Develop and implement annual business plans and risk assessments to support service delivery.
- Review service performance and provide detailed reports to aid strategic decision-making.
- Build networks and share knowledge across School Catering Services and beyond.
- Engage with staff, trade unions and handle personnel-related matters as needed.
- Administer Council’s procedures in disciplinary and grievance matters.
