What you will do:

  • Lead and coordinate the Families First approach, providing expert advice and promoting best practice.
  • Assess the needs of children and families, developing effective and outcome-focused support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated services.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records and documentation.
  • Advocate for children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are effectively represented.
  • Undertake risk assessments and review cases to promote positive and sustainable outcomes.
  • Chair and participate in family meetings, case conferences, and multi-agency planning meetings where appropriate.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualification experience within children's social care, ideally in a Families First or safeguarding environment.
  • Strong assessment, care planning, and risk management skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and partnership-working abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures.
