What you will do

• Manage a complex caseload involving Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline (PLO), and court proceedings.
• Provide professional support, mentoring, and case consultation to social workers, newly qualified staff, and students.
• Lead on complex assessments, risk analysis, and safeguarding interventions in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and the Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.
• Chair strategy discussions, professional meetings, and multi-agency planning meetings where required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Evidence of ongoing post-qualifying professional development.
• Practice Educator Award or a relevant supervisory qualification is desirable.

Registration and Compliance

• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).

Experience

• Significant post-qualified experience within statutory children's social care.
• Proven experience managing child protection, court, and safeguarding cases.
• Experience supporting or supervising social workers within a safeguarding setting.
