Consultant Social Worker, Willow Service in Dagenham, London

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Consultant Social Worker within the Willow Service to work full time based in Barking & Dagenham.

The salary for this permanent Consultant Social Worker job is up to £55,323 per annum.

Main duties:

• Effectively lead and coach the Willow Team to achieve positive outcomes for women, setting vision, targets and priorities in line with operating model.
• Hold a small caseload of up to 4 women who are eligible for support from Willow.
• Support all members of the team through regular supervision, appraisal and communication on an individual basis to ensure an informed and professional approach to service delivery and awareness of changing national and local demands and priorities.
• Develop close working relationships with key partner agencies, for example mental health, adult social care, domestic abuse and sexual health, and ensure effective pathways are established for Willow women to access support.
• Work closely with colleagues across Children’s Social Care, including ECAS, to raise the profile of Willow, identify women who may be eligible for support and ensure timely referrals.
• Allocate and provide management oversight on new referrals.
• Promote evidence-based practice across the team through assessment of a woman’s needs, individual plans, intervention delivery and review.
• Work in partnership with the Quality Assurance Team and participate in audit and dip sampling.
• Effectively use data and local information to identify women and evidence the outcomes of Willow intervention.
• Provide reports as required regarding the activity and impact of the Willow programme.
• Be responsible for assigned budget expenditure, ensuring any financial spend on women is aligned with the goals set out in their intervention plan, and assist in budget management.
• Support recruitment, retention and training for the Willow team, ensuring staff have access to career development as appropriate.
• Ensure the effective management of all statutory requirements related to Willow at all times, including safeguarding of vulnerable children and adults and health and safety of staff.
• Support the Court Progression Manager in representing Willow at internal and external meetings and events.
• Develop a participation focus with a high level of awareness in listening actively to women and their children and adjusting services in line with feedback.
• Maintain accurate records in line with Departmental policy.
• Embed a continuous learning ethos within Willow.              

Requirements of this Consultant Social Worker job:

• A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
• Understanding of relevant legislation.
• Continual professional development.
• Social Work England registered.
