What you will do
- Manage a complex caseload of occupational therapy and sensory impairment assessments.
- Perform comprehensive functional assessments to support adults in maximising independence and wellbeing.
- Assess, recommend, and facilitate the provision of specialist equipment and adaptations.
- Conduct moving and handling assessments in line with safety guidelines.
- Develop and implement strengths-based intervention plans.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on occupational therapy and sensory impairment.
- Support safeguarding and risk management processes effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed case records and reports.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in adult social care occupational therapy and managing complex cases.
- Proficient in assessing the need for equipment and adaptations.
- In-depth knowledge of sensory impairment practice.
- Ability to work independently with excellent prioritisation skills.
- Desirable skills include experience in sensory teams, local authority settings, and supervising staff.
