Make a lasting difference. Lead inclusive education. Inspire every learner.

Are you an experienced and passionate SEND leader looking for your next challenge? Do you believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their individual needs?

We're looking for an exceptional SENDCo to join our dedicated team and lead the strategic development of our SEND provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ambitious, collaborative and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student is supported to achieve their full potential.

As our SENDCo, you'll be at the heart of our school community, working alongside teachers, support staff, families and external professionals to ensure every student receives the personalised support they need to succeed. Your expertise will influence whole-school practice, helping to build a culture where inclusion is embedded in everything we do.

What you'll be doing

This is a varied and rewarding leadership role where you'll:

  • Champion inclusive teaching and learning, supporting colleagues to meet the needs of every learner.
  • Work closely with students, families and external agencies to create meaningful support plans that make a real difference.
  • Develop personalised learning pathways for students with a wide range of additional needs.
  • Lead, coach and inspire a team of teaching assistants, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee targeted interventions, monitor progress and ensure support has measurable impact.
  • Coordinate Access Arrangements and support students through assessment processes.
  • Promote high expectations, ensuring students with SEND achieve academically, socially and emotionally.

About You

You'll be someone who combines strategic thinking with genuine compassion and a desire to see every student flourish.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • At least three years' teaching experience.
  • The NASENCO or NPQ for SENCO qualification (or be working towards it).
  • Significant experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, physical disabilities, social communication differences and a broad range of additional learning needs.
  • Experience working across multiple Key Stages, including developing highly personalised learning programmes.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing support staff.
  • Excellent knowledge of SEND legislation, Access Arrangements and effective intervention strategies.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
  • A commitment to raising aspirations and improving outcomes for every learner.

Why join us?

We know that exceptional people deserve an exceptional place to work. That's why we invest in our staff as much as we invest in our students.

When you join us, you'll benefit from:

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience and qualifications), with Leadership Pay Scale (L1-L8: £51,773-£61,534) available for exceptional and highly experienced SENDCo candidates.
  • Teachers' Pension Scheme membership.
  • Staff referral scheme.

  • Modern, technology-rich learning environments that enhance teaching and learning.
  • High-quality professional development through our Global Teacher Academy.
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression and leadership development.
  • A healthy work-life balance with limited out-of-hours commitments.
  • An innovative self-directed learning approach that empowers students to become independent, confident learners.
  • Opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the UK and internationally, sharing best practice and developing professionally.

Ready to make an impact?

If you're an inspirational SEND leader who is passionate about inclusion and wants to work in a supportive, forward-thinking environment where your expertise will make a genuine difference, we'd love to hear from you.
