The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and support staff to help pupils achieve their full academic, social, and emotional potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning across a range of curriculum areas
- Delivering literacy and numeracy interventions to small groups
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Supporting children with SEND and other barriers to learning
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and engagement in the classroom
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
This role is particularly suited to graduates considering careers in:

About You
- Hold a 2:1 degree or above (or be predicted to achieve this)
- Have studied Education, Psychology, English, Maths, or a related subject (desirable)
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and professional attitude
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Show a genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development
- Be eager to gain practical, school-based experience
- Be considering a future career within education
- Have the right to work in the UK
