What you will do:

• Deliver an efficient and effective Council Tax and NNDR service for the Council.
• Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to local revenues and taxation matters.
• Develop service specifications, business plans, operational work programmes, and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor Service Level Agreements to ensure quality and value for money.
• Oversee the accurate annual billing process for Council Tax, NNDR, and Business Improvement Districts.
• Ensure revenue systems are utilised effectively across all relevant teams.
• Lead, support, and develop the Revenue Team, including staff training and development programmes.
• Promote effective debt management and recovery procedures.
• Produce detailed management reports relating to outstanding debt and income collection performance.
• Manage budgets in line with financial regulations and procedures.
• Prepare and present committee reports and deputise for the Revenues and Benefits Service Manager when required.
• Build effective relationships with council departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to support seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

• Strong experience within Revenues, Council Tax, and NNDR services.
• In-depth knowledge of local government revenue legislation and procedures.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Experience managing teams, budgets, and operational performance.
