Production Operative in Newcastle-under-lyme, West Midlands

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Staffordshire. With more than 25 years of industry experience, our client has built an excellent reputation as a trusted supply chain partner, specialising in cable assemblies, fibre optics and electro-mechanical assemblies. Their products are supplied to some of the world's most demanding industries, including defence, aerospace, medical, energy and motorsport.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for experienced Production/Assembly Operatives to join their team.

The Role:

As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality cable harnesses products to precise customer and industry requirements.

Your duties will include:

• Manufacturing cable harness assemblies and electro-mechanical products.
• Working from technical drawings, schematic diagrams, customer specifications and manufacturing instructions.
• Using a range of wiring, assembly and production techniques to manufacture high-quality products.
• Working to recognised industry standards and quality requirements.
• Carrying out work accurately and efficiently to meet production targets.
• Ensuring all products meet the required quality standards.
• Completing production records and other required documentation accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in wiring, cable harness assembly, electrical assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.
• The ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good manual dexterity and visual attention.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
• A reliable, hardworking and positive approach to work.

Experience within aerospace, defence, medical, motorsport, energy or other precision-manufacturing environments would be advantageous.

• £12.71 per hour starting rate
• Monday–Friday working pattern
• Early finish on Fridays
• Full in-house training and development
