What you will do:

- Conduct immediate mental health assessments for new arrivals and rapidly triage urgent internal referrals from prison wings.
- Act as a primary responder to psychiatric emergencies, providing crucial support for individuals on suicide and self-harm monitoring plans.
- Manage a complex caseload of patients with dual-diagnosis, employing trauma-informed care strategies to ensure the best outcomes.
- Dispense and manage specialized psychiatric medications and depot injections, adhering to all safety and security protocols within the secure environment.
- Collaborate effectively with prison governors, operational officers, forensic psychologists, and external NHS community teams to ensure continuity of care and provide guidance on managing challenging behaviours.
- Maintain compliance with prison security protocols while keeping detailed, accurate clinical records on secure databases like SystmOne.
