What you will do:

Chair Looked After Child (LAC) reviews and other statutory meetings, ensuring a child-centred and outcome-focused approach
Monitor and quality assure care plans, ensuring they meet statutory requirements and are progressed without delay
Act as an independent advocate for children, ensuring their views, wishes, and feelings are heard and reflected in decision-making
Identify and escalate practice concerns through formal dispute resolution processes where care plans are not meeting required standards
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including social care, health, education, and CAFCASS, to improve outcomes for children

Person Specification

Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
Evidence of continuous professional development

Registration & Compliance:

Registered with Social Work England
Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989, Adoption and Children Act 2002, and Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations 2010
Understanding of IRO statutory guidance and safeguarding frameworks
