An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Band 6 Podiatrist specialising in General care to join the team in Orkney. This role offers an ongoing commitment with a generous hourly rate of £37.64, ensuring you are well-compensated for your expertise. You will play a pivotal role in managing patients at high risk of active foot disease, as well as those with musculoskeletal, dermatological, and surgical needs.

What you will do:
- Provide specialist podiatric care and procedures across various specialties, including diabetes, vascular, neurology, and rheumatology.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of the lower limbs in both adult and paediatric patients, utilising functional and non-functional testing methods.
- Perform postural alignment, gait analysis, and neurological assessments to evaluate systemic disease involvement and pain.
- Work independently as an autonomous practitioner in both community and hospital settings, managing individual and team caseloads.
- Liaise effectively with GPs, practice nurses, community podiatrists, and hospital consultants from specialist services to manage referrals.
- Play an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of podiatry services.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Podiatry.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a podiatrist in the UK.
- Recent experience in podiatry practice, with NHS experience being advantageous but not essential.
