What you will do

• First Contact Practice: Provide expert assessment and management as a First Contact Physiotherapist, delivering high-quality patient care from the first point of contact.
• Clinical Decision-Making: Request and interpret investigations to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
• Self-Management Support: Develop innovative programmes to promote patient independence, mobility, and physical activity.
• Specialist Practice: Manage complex musculoskeletal conditions and pain presentations across healthcare settings.
• Service Support: Assist with the day-to-day clinical management of outpatient and GP-based physiotherapy services.
• Audit & Improvement: Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
• Education & Training: Provide specialist training and mentorship to physiotherapists and wider healthcare staff.
• Referral Management: Screen referrals from GPs and consultants, ensuring appropriate patient pathways.
• Service Development: Support the ongoing development of First Contact Physiotherapy and wider MSK services.

Qualifications / Requirements

• HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
• Significant experience in MSK physiotherapy.
• Strong clinical reasoning and autonomous decision-making skills.
• Experience working as a First Contact Physiotherapist is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence for travel between sites.
