What you will do:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in accordance with individual care plans and clinical guidelines.
- Undertake paediatric assessments, monitor patient conditions, and recognise clinical deterioration, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Administer medicines and treatments safely in line with NMC standards, local policies, and paediatric protocols.
- Support children and families through education, health promotion, and discharge planning activities.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding documentation.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
- Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN/RN Child) qualification or equivalent recognised nursing qualification.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Paediatric Life Support (PLS) or equivalent training desirable.
Experience:
- Experience working within paediatric inpatient, outpatient, emergency, or community children's services.
- Experience caring for children with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Experience supporting children, young people, and families in a healthcare setting.
