We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for an Operating Department Practitioner in Gibraltar, UK. With an hourly rate ranging between £30,378 and £40,140, the allocation will depend on your years of reckonable service within the NHS. The role is full time, covering 40 hours per week, inclusive of weekend and night shifts. Start ASAP - this is an ongoing position. To sweeten the deal, return economy class flights from the UK to Gibraltar, including one piece of luggage, will be reimbursed upon submission of receipts, and accommodation will be provided.

What you will do:

- Provide anaesthetic care by preparing equipment and drugs and supporting the anaesthetist
- Monitor patients during anaesthesia to ensure safety and respond to their needs
- Execute the surgical (scrub) role, including preparing sterile instruments and assisting the surgeon during operations
- Maintain a sterile environment to ensure successful surgeries
- Conduct recovery (post-anaesthetic care), monitoring patients as they wake up
- Manage airways, pain, and vital signs, identifying and responding to complications as they arise

Requirements:

- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Driving is preferable for this role to facilitate ease of commute
