Locum Occupational Therapist - Reablement Team within Social Service Occupational Therapy in Southampton, Hampshire, earning up to £38.00 per hour hourly. We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Reablement Team for a 3-month contract. This role is crucial in supporting individuals in Southampton to regain their independence and enhance their quality of life. What you will do:

• Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments for individuals receiving bridging support.
• Facilitate timely progression into Reablement services and identify opportunities to maximise independence.
• Assess and recommend essential equipment and adaptations to enhance daily living.
• Complete moving and handling assessments to ensure safety.
• Deliver rehabilitation-focused interventions that support individual care plans.
• Work collaboratively with Reablement staff and a range of partner agencies.
• Contribute meaningfully to risk assessments and reviews.
• Keep accurate and detailed clinical records and documentation.

• End Date: 27/12/2026
• Hours: 18.5 hours per week
• Working Hours: 08:30-14:30

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Experience in health or social care settings with a focus on Occupational Therapy assessments.
• Ability to recommend equipment and undertake moving and handling assessments.
• Drive to support rehabilitation and independence-focused interventions.
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience in Reablement or community Occupational Therapy.
• Familiarity with Adult Social Care work.
• Ability to function within multidisciplinary teams.
