Locum Social Services Occupational Therapist within Reablement in Southampton earning up to £36 per hour on an hourly basis. Ongoing contract. Full-time positions available. What you will do:
- Undertake occupational therapy assessments, care planning, and reviews to promote personal independence and daily living skills.
- Advise, teach, and support individuals and carers in overcoming disability and maximising independence.
- Recommend and provide standard and specialist equipment, and advise on adaptations to clients’ homes.
- Liaise with colleagues in health, social care, and partner agencies to ensure coordinated, multi-disciplinary support.
- Supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants and students as required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, professional standards, and Council policies.
- Commit to safeguarding adults and upholding the Council’s Equality Policy.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
- Recent NHS experience.
- Registered with the HCPC.
