What you will do:
- Conduct moving and handling assessments and recommend appropriate equipment.
- Assess and provide necessary equipment and home adaptations for children with physical disabilities or neurodivergence.
- Write detailed recommendations for major home adaptations, in line with Disabled Facilities Grants.
- Collaborate with Social Workers and Family Workers to support children and their families, ensuring the child’s voice is heard in decision-making.
- Maintain strong partnerships with internal and external agencies, such as housing providers and NHS services, requiring excellent communication skills.
- Ensure all activities comply with GDPR and child safeguarding legislation, upholding confidentiality and data protection.
- Manage your workload independently with strong time management and resilience, guided by comprehensive knowledge of legislative frameworks.
- Travel for work purposes, requiring a full UK driving licence and access to your vehicle.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- A degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably with NHS experience.
- Registration with the HCPC.
- Proficient in complex moving and handling assessments and equipment recommendation.
